Photos of camping 2008.

Published by Mark at 9:19 pm under Camping, Life, Travel, Vancouver/Toronto RV Adventure

This post will probably only be of interest to family and friends, for the record.

Just a quick post to share some selected photos of our camping adventures that took us to the west coast and back this summer. These pictures cover the area from home in Ontario to Vancouver BC, and everywhere in between including Banff, Yellowstone National Park, etc.

We traveled west through Canada on the Trans Canada highway, and the back through the USA mostly via I90. Keen eyed and seasoned travelers may be able to pick out some of the locations, although many of the pictures are fairly generic in nature. I’ve added captions to all the pictures to help.

After taking over 1700 pictures it was impossible to include them all, but here’s a few.

Great pictures. Thanks for sharing. It looks like an amazing trip. I’d love to do the same some time.

Thanks Paul. Looking back on it, it was definitely a life experience that we won’t soon forget. The only thing I would change would be to take at least 6 or 8 weeks (instead of 4) so that there would be more time to visit all the cities we passed through, and a bit of a slower pace on the days in between.

Despite passing through or near many cities we’d have liked to visit (Winnipeg, Saskatoon, Calgary, Seattle, etc) we simply had no time unless we wanted to take away from scheduled extended downtime in places like Banff, Vancouver, Yellowstone, or Mt. Rushmore.

I put together an awesome video of the whole trip (we took about 6 hours of video that I iMovie’d down to 1.2 hours) but it’s just too big to put online…and I really don’t think many (outside of those who have seen the actual DVD) are interested.
